The 13th Tooth Morphogenesis and Development Conference (TMD) was held in Oxford on June 1-6, 2019. TMD conference began in 1978 and is held every three years, specializing in tooth development. This year, it was hosted by several keynote researchers including prof. Abigail Tucker in King's College London, and held in Worcester College, University of Oxford. Vice Dean Zhi Chen, Dr. Fei Pei and Dr. Qian Zhang attended this meeting and made oral presentations as well.
During the meeting,Vice Dean Zhi Chen made deep communication with Vice Dean Abigail Tucker of King's College London’ in terms of the development of both our school and hospital. Meanwhile, he also introduced the research, teaching and clinic work in our school, as well as the construction of our “Double World Classes” project.
Centered on tooth morphogenesis and development, some researchers like prof. Paul Sharpe, Prof. Yang Chai, Prof. Brad Amendt, Prof. Ophir Klein presented their latest findings. Scholars from different countries showed their research level by making presentations and posters. In this conference, Dr. Fei Pei and Dr. Qian Zhang were invited to make a 25-minute presentation respectively as well as communicated deeply with foreign colleagues, demonstrating our scientific research level in tooth development.
