The 13th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ACOMS) was held in Taipei from Nov. 8th to 11th, 2018. Prof. Zhao Yifang, Prof. Sun Zhijun, Associate Prof. Chen Gang, Dr. Yu Zili and Dr. Xia Houfu from Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery attended this congress. This congress covers various fields, like Oral Maxillofacial-Head and Neck Tumor Surgery, Alveolar Surgery, Orthognathic Surgery, Lip and Palate Cleft Surgery, Temporomandibular Joint Surgery, Traumatic Surgery, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Surgical Pathology. It mainly involves the latest therapeutic ideas and development trends in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
During the congress, our representatives communicated deeply with other experts present and fully demonstrated the new achievements of clinical and basic research in Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in our hospital. Prof. Zhao Yifang, invited as a special guest, made a report called “Therapeutic Strategy of Vascular Anomalies in the Head and Neck on the Mainland of China: Study over a Decade”. Associate Prof. Chen Gang and Dr. Xia Houfu delivered wonderful speeches on clinical significance of extracellular vesicles in oral carcinoma and dynamic tracer imaging of extracellular vesicles respectively, arousing great interest and winning wide praise among colleagues.
