On April 17th, 2018, Prof. Wu Bei from New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing was invited to visit Hospital of Stomatology Wuhan University and started her one-day academic exchange journey.
Dr. Wubei is a globally renowned and internationally influential leader in gerontology research. She has held many large scientific research programs sponsored by American government and published about 400 high-qualified papers, abstracts, books and chapters, covering extensive issues related to aging problems and health. At present, she is a member in GSA. In 2017, she was chosen as the honorary member by STTI, and the annual outstanding scientist by IADR.
In the afternoon, Prof. Wu Bei delivered an academic speech “Oral health among older adults: current status, challenges, and potential solutions” for teachers and students, which was highly praised by them.
After the speech, Prof. Tai Baojun, Prof. Du Minquan and Prof. Wu Bei discussed deeply in many respects like scientific research cooperation, discipline construction, oral preventive medicine, and proposed contents for future cooperation. Meanwhile, Prof. Wu Bei was invited to attend the Annual Meeting of Oral Preventive Medicine of Chinese Stomatological Association and share her research progress.
