A delegation of 22 teachers and six young researchers from School of Stomatology of Wuhan University led by Prof. Chen Zhi attended the 95th General Session and Exhibition of International Association of Dental Research (IADR), from March 22- 25, in San Francisco, United States.
During the session, the president of IADR, Mr. Jukka Meurman, acknowledged the increasingly important role China has played in the global dental research community and encouraged Chinese dental professionals to become the major leading force in the future. During the meeting, delegates from Wuhan University participated actively in the academic activities of various disciplines and conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on the development of dental research. Six researchers reported their Oral reports at the meeting respectively.
Wangh Zhejun, a research form Whuhan University, is the first ever recipient of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) STAR Network Academy Fellowship. This new fellowship supports the awardee’s attendance at the IADR Academy and IADR General Session & Exhibition, and then to have a renowned research experience in a laboratory.
On March 24, IADR Chinese Division jointly held the third “China Night” Reception. IADR President Jukka Meurman and IADR board members were invited and gave a speech. The “China Night” Reception aims to build up a global communication platform for Chinese dental researchers and enlarge the influence of China in international dental research community. In the future, School of Stomatology of Wuhan University will continue to provide a platform for researchers of Whuhan University wider range.
The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) has over 11,000 members from more than 60 countries. It has 16 Divisions and six sections throughout the world, organized by geographic area.
