Ⅰ.Cranio-Maxillofacial Infectious Diseases
Infectious diseases of cranio-maxillofacial region are quite prevalent and thus disturb most of us. We strive for breakthroughs in the pathogenesis and prevention of caries and periodontal diseases, oral diseases and general health, and then propose new methods for disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention, laying a solid foundation for distinguished advantages in this field.
Ⅱ.Cranio-Maxillofacial Genetic Diseases
Cranio-maxillofacial developmental malformations and hereditary diseases involve the pathogenic genes of hereditary diseases, the molecular regulatory mechanism of cranio-maxillofacial development, stem cell differentiation, epigenetic regulation and so on. Thanks to the latest advances in human genome, transcriptome, proteome and epigenetics, this research direction mainly expounds how tens of thousands of genes in human craniofacial development can be regulated and transcribed in an appropriate space-time mode, and how transcription factors play a role in the differential expression of genes, in order to explain and clarify some important scientific issues in the process of craniofacial development.
Ⅲ . Oral Cancer ＆ Immunity
Using a new generation of high-throughput and high-precision experimental techniques and big data analysis methods of bioinformatics, we carried out transcriptome, epigenetics, proteomics, immunohistology and metabonomics studies from single cell to tissue level, in order to find out the key mechanisms of tumorigenesis and development, key markers for early diagnosis of tumors, develop new anticancer drugs and their route of administration. Besides, we also make cohort studies, and provide accurate diagnosis and treatment for cancer patients.
Ⅳ.Dental Biomaterials ＆ Regenerative Medicine
This field mainly use new biological materials and advanced technology to repair and regenerate oral craniofacial tissue defects. With the help of computer-aided design and manufacturing technology, 3D printing technology and tissue engineering technology, a series of basic research and transformation research are carried out to solve related problems, including the repair of tooth loss, regeneration of jaw and temporomandibular joint, correction of tooth and maxillofacial deformity, repair and cosmetology of jaw and face, etc.
