From June 19 to 22, 2019, the 97th General Session of the IADR was held in Vancouver, Canada. Our delegation consisting of 23 teachers and 12 postgraduates attended this grand academic feast. Among them, 15 people were invited to be speakers and the rest made poster presentation. Besides, Dr. Haiqing Liao obtained IADR PERIODONTAL RESEARCH GROUP PAST PRESIDENTS’ TRAVEL AWARD.
During the session, Prof. Zhi Chen, Prof. Cui Huang and Prof. Minquan Du joined the IADR/AADR young investigator award committee, IADR/AADR General Session Committee and IADR/AADR Publications Committee respectively.
As usual, we continued to set up booth to introduce our school to the world. Meanwhile, our volunteers enthuisally communicated with other attenders, hoping for finding more cooperation opportunities.
In order to facilitate our exchange with overseas colleagues, after the session, several delegates went to the Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia as well as School of Dentistry, University of Alberta and signed cooperation agreements with them.
